Rihanna is on the move and staying under the radar.
E! News has learned that the recuperating R&B star has left her native Barbados after spending time with her family and friends in the wake of the Feb. 8 fight that left her hospitalized and Chris Brown under arrest.
As we originally reported, her family had the 20-year-old whisked to Barbados early last week. Over the weekend, Rihanna‘s father, Ronald Fenty, told People he had seen his “bruised” daughter there on Feb. 12.
Now, a source tells E! News: “She’s not in Barbados.”
Rihanna, who canceled two shows in Asia last week, currently has no scheduled public appearances. Her rep couldn’t be reached for immediate comment.
Brown‘s publicist says the embattled singer has no comment beyond the apology he issued over the weekend.
Rihanna is listless, suffering from headaches and “torn” over her parents’ pleas to cooperate with police after she was allegedly assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown, the new issue of Us Weekly reports.
“She hums sometimes, but she’s more quiet than I’ve ever seen her,” an unnamed pal of the “Umbrella” singer told Us. The friend said Rihanna, 20, visited a doctor last Friday, five days after Brown allegedly roughed her up following a fight in the couple’s rented Lamborghini.
“It was because of the endless headaches she’s been having since Chris hit her,” the friend said.“The doctors were concerned about the contusions on the sides of her head.” The magazine reports that Rihanna is “torn” over helping cops build a case. Brown, 19, was arrested the night of the Grammys on suspicion of making criminal threats and was released on $50,000 bail.
“I mean, damn, her eye’s black and the sides of her face are all f—-d up,” the friend told Us. “But she keeps saying she still loves him.” Rihanna’s parents are reportedly pleading with her not to worry about how jail time might affect Brown’s career, according to Us. A Daily News source said the Barbados-bred beauty is cooperating with police.
Here are my thoughts on this…
“I had a feeling she will be saying that she still loves him. I definitely understand where she’s coming from. I’ve been in her shoes. Love is hard to move on from. Things that you never thought would ever happen to you in your relationship, that end up happening like domestic violence, tends to not feel real to you at first, but people can change later on in time for the better. So hopefully this can become a success story, not something worst. I wish them both much more success and luck in their lives whether they end up together or not. Everyone deserves a second chance and some time to explain themselves. I believe in giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Best Wishes to Rihanna & Chris Brown. I’m still a fan of the both. My heart is with you both.”
