Kanye West faces a two-year prison sentence after the Los Angeles City Attorney charged him with three criminal misdemeanours in connection with his attack on a paparazzo last year (08).
The rapper and his minder were arrested at Los Angeles’ LAX airport in September (08) after lashing out at a photographer as they were preparing to board a flight to Hawaii, smashing his camera and hurling abuse at him.
On Wednesday (18Mar09), West was charged with vandalism, battery, and grand theft. His associate, Don Crowley, has been charged with two counts of vandalism, two counts of battery and two counts of grand theft, according to website TMZ.com, who also caught the incident on tape.
Crowley faces five years behind bars if convicted. Both men are scheduled for arraignment on 14 April (09).

Newly-single singer Rihanna found herself in the middle of a legal mess in Los Angeles on Wednesday (18Mar09) after her chauffeur-driven car was pulled over by cops.
Rihanna, Hayden Panettiere, Katie Perry and several other non-famous friends had a girls’ night at Les Deux, and minutes after Rihanna left the club and hopped into her SUV, the police pulled over her driver!
An X17 photographers tells X17online exclusively:
“When Rihanna left around 2:15am, her driver drove the wrong way on the road trying to avoid the photographers, and the cops pulled him over on Hollywood and Cahuenga. After the whole incident, Rihanna and her crew went back to her place, and the cops showed up AGAIN!”
When the police arrived at Rihanna‘s house, they spoke with her bodyguard and left after chatting with him for thirty minutes. Rihanna‘s driver was initially pulled over for not having a front license plate, and for tinted windows – but we’re beginning to wonder if he got scolded by the cops for driving so erratically! X17 photographers on the scene say that the man was “speeding and driving dangerously.”

Beyoncé Knowles would love to follow in the footsteps of rock bands AEROSMITH and METALLICA by developing a GUITAR HERO video game exclusively featuring her songs.
The singer is a big fan of the popular music simulator and insists she is better at rocking out on Guitar Hero than on the actual instrument.
And she would jump at the chance to create a Beyoncé edition of the game for her fans.
Asked about the possibility of creating her version, she replied: “Definitely. I would love to imagine people playing to my songs.”
But the R&B star admits her experiences with karaoke video games are less impressive: “I’ve actually played some karaoke games with the old Destiny’s Child songs. It’s so funny, because I don’t get great scores. I’m like, ‘How is that possible?'”

According to mtv.com, “Disturbia” singer Rihanna is extremely worried over the potential release of a sex tape she made with boyfriend Chris Brown.
According to the article Rihanna permitted Brown to film the ‘wild’ tape but, following a reported break in their relationship, is now concerned the tape may find its way online. A source told the magazine; “Rihanna has no issues with her sexuality. But she’d be mortified if her friends and family found this out.”
