Shoe Love: First Look at Rough Justice Footwear

Rough Justice Footwear

Founded by Bodo Loerke, Jeff Goulding and Lee Ashworth, Rough Justice is a premium designer, marketer, and wholesaler of sexy and sophisticated shoes. In offering a varied range of boots, platforms, sandals and shoes, Rough Justice articulates a high profile celebrity style of footwear through quality materials and superior craftsmanship.

In the news….

New footwear collection Rough Justice, dubbed “junior couture” by its design team, is making its debut this spring, with a larger collection slated for fall ’09.

The Hollywood, Calif.-based line, founded in 2007 by Bodo Loerke, Jeff Goulding and designer Lee Ashworth, is inspired by celebrity style and couture fashion, Loerke said. It is handmade from American materials in China.

“Rough Justice is the new junior couture, which is a great way to explain the image we’re going after,” Loerke said.

The collection includes a range of footwear styles, from sandals to boots, priced between $150 and $350 at retail, and has been picked up by Fred Segal Feet, Nordstrom, Endless.com and several boutiques, including Sole and Gary’s of Newport Beach, Calif. About 15 styles were launched for spring and will be followed with a larger push of 25 styles for fall.

The brand, Loerke said, also plans to expand into handbags, apparel and accessories within the next year and is launching a lower-priced juniors’ collection for fall ’09. That line, Wallflower, will retail for about $50 to $100.
