All On The Cover: Usher Covers Vegas

Usher covers Vegas Magazine and from the looks of it, it seems like he’s back to the way his fans love him.

The magazine quoted him saying, In time I’m going to grow older, but I hope that I can be remembered for being a great father to my sons, a gentleman, and a renaissance man.”

Trying to pin down what Usher has been up to lately could take hours of interviews and a river of ink. At the moment, he’s set to release his sixth studio album, “Monster”, as well as the third fragrance in his collection, VIP. Then there’s his philanthropy work and his eponymous foundation (through which 20 teens will get to direct the first video off Monster). On top of all that, he’s the father of two young sons, one-and-a-half-year-old Usher Raymond V and seven-month-old Naviyd Ely Raymond. (“That’s all I need, a daughter to make me superweak,” he jokes about adding to his brood.) In June, he announced his separation from his wife of two years, Tameka Foster.

With this much going on in his life, it’s no wonder that Usher sequestered himself and his crew in Las Vegas to produce Monster. Usher and his team, including music superstars Pharrell, Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, rented out the third floor of the Palms Resort Casino, then made a daily commute to the resort’s in-house recording studio, where everyone from Elton John to Mary J Blige to Axl Rose has laid down tracks. “Vegas is good livin’, a product of positive energy, upward thinking,” Usher says. “Every time we’d go out to a club, there would be motivation there. [Recording in Vegas] allowed me to open my mind and just be creative and think outside the box.”

He even discusses how he plans on being back real lovemaking music for the masses:

“The sex in music, the good sex in music, the lovemaking in music, we’ve begun to depart from it. Right now it’s all about hitting it and quitting it. I think there are a ton of women out there who want to be made love to and want to have that song going that they really want to make love to.”

Bookworm: 50 Cent’s “The 50th Law”

50 Cent is ready to hit the road on a book tour across the United States to promote his upcoming book “The 50th Law”. 50’s five-city book tour with Robert Greene, co author of the book, will start in September. First stop on the tour will be New York City (Town Hall, Sept. 8), then Washington D.C. (Howard U., Sept. 9), Atlanta (The Tabernacle., Sept. 10), Royal Oak, Michigan (Royal Oak Music Theatre, Sept. 11) and Los Angeles (The Wiltern, Sept. 12). 50 and Greene will engage in discussion about life business and other strategies to succeed. “The 50th Law” is set to hit bookstores in September.

Celebrity Breakups: Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush Are Over

Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend of two years, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, are going their separate ways, the reality star’s rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The pair, who recently returned from a charity trip to Africa with Kardashian‘s sister Khloe, just last May talked about “heading” toward marriage, but sources tell PEOPLE their relationship suffered from the time they spent apart – with yet another separation looming with the upcoming NFL season.

“They never get to see each other, ever,” the source says. “It’s been a long time coming. They still love each other and are part of their lives, but Reggie spends six months out of the year in New Orleans, so it’s tough.”

Kardashian, 28, the star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, had been dating Bush, 24, since 2007. The couple were seen as the perfect Hollywood pair, stepping out on red carpets and posing for a GQ spread together.

“They were the cutest couple,” another source tells PEOPLE. “They loved each other so much but they hardly saw each other. He starts his football training camp this week and she starts filming Keeping up with the Kardashians this week. They just need a break right now.”

Rumor has it that Kanye West broke them up. According to, FOX 411 the rapper was sending racy texts about a night the two of them partied together:

“Reggie saw text messages on Kim‘s phone from Kanye West and flipped out on her,” the source tells FOX411. And these weren’t your average friendly messages. “The texts referenced a night they hung out, how much fun he had, how hot Kim was, and more racy things that got Reggie‘s imagination running,” says the source. When Reggie confronted Kim about it, the couple had a huge blow-up, and jealousy issues, which had been pretty much kept out of their relationship until this incident, surfaced, according to the insider. “They realized there were trust issues on both sides, and couldn’t go forward,” says the source.

The supermodel, who is expecting her first baby with husband Tom Brady, shows off her famous body in just a barely-belted, classic London Fog trench coat for the brand’s fall ad campaign. But don’t expect to see a dramatic reveal of the supermodel’s swelling tummy. “Although Gisele was photographed while pregnant, most of the shots have been retouched to respect her privacy during this wonderful and personal time in her life,” Dari Marder Chief Marketing Officer, London Fog revealed in a press release. “Nobody is sexier or more beautiful than Gisele Bündchen in nothing but a London Fog trench coat, even with her visible baby bump,” adds Marder. Make that barely-visible. Gisele’s London Fog ads will debut in October fashion, lifestyle and entertainment magazines as well as on billboards and online.
