Album Cover: Kanye West Unveils Banned Album Cover for ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’

Kanye West just revealed the cover art for his upcoming album, ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’, due to come out later next month (November 22nd). While presenting the cover, the artist also communicated that the cover was banned in the USA. You can expect an alternative cover, at least for the US market. One can for sure say that the cover suits the title of the album!

Mr. West claims the powers-that-be won’t allow this to be the cover image of ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’. Back to the drawing board.

Baby Bump: It’s A Boy for Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz!

Alica Keys and Swizz Beatz are the proud parents of a brand new baby boy.

Keys and husband Beatz (real name: Kaseem Dean) “joyfully welcomed their first child, a son named, Egypt Daoud Dean on Thursday, Oct. 14 in New York City,” said a rep, speaking to People magazine.

Keys and Beatz were recently married a few months ago (Saturday, July 31st), in a private ceremony on the Mediterranean coast in July.

The child is the first for Keys, and the fourth for Beatz. Swizz took it to his fans via Twitter on Thursday evening, and gave thanks for his family, by saying, “I’m so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life.”

Congrats to the happy couple!

Album Cover: Nicki Minaj Unveils Album Cover for ‘Pink Friday’

On Friday Nicki Minaj unveiled the new album cover for her highly anticipated debut album, ‘Pink Friday’. The album will now be released, Friday, November 22, which is actually one day earlier than it’s original set release date. It will now go head-to-head with Kanye West‘s, ‘Dark Twisted Fantasy World’.

Rihanna and Drake‘s studio hook-up for, “What’s My Name” has arrived for fans’ listening pleasure. Once involved in a brief fling, they get playful again in this track with Drake throwing some lady-loving rhymes and Rihanna baring all he needs to know to be her man.

“I heard you good with them soft lips,” Drake raps. “Yeah, you know word of mouth/ The square root of 69 is 8-something/ Right? ‘Cause I’ve been trying to work it out/ Good weed, white wine, I come alive in the nighttime/ OK, away we go/ Only thing we have on is the radio/ Let it play, say you gotta leave, but I know you wanna stay.”

Rihanna responds, “Not everybody knows how to work my body/ Knows how to make me want it/ But boy you stay up on it/ You got that something/ That keeps me so off balance/ Baby, you’re a challenge/ Let’s explore your talents.” She sings more in her next lines, “Hey, boy, I really want to see if you can go downtown with a girl like me/ Hey, boy, I really want to be with you, ’cause you’re just my type.”

Rihanna told BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Max in a recent interview:

“Drake is such a cool guy. He is one of my great friends. We actually just did a song together. It’s going to be on my album. The second song, we did another version with him. We may even shoot a video for it. I went out with him Trey and J Cole recently we had a lot of fun.”

Both the original and remixed versions of “What’s My Name” are recorded for Rihannna‘s November 16 album ‘Loud’. A music video for the original song has been filmed last month in New York, but according to a report on Ryan Seacrest’s blog, she will shoot another video possibly with Drake on October 28 for the revamped track.

“I hope we get to shoot a video for that too,” Drake told MTV News. “I’m really excited about that song.”

Chris Brown Reacts….

The newly-revealed song has been all over the web and apparently has been heard by Chris Brown. Despite his ill-fated romance with her, the male R&B performer praised the collaboration. Chris Brown took it to his Twitter to respond to new single “What’s My Name” by saying;

Rihanna releases ‘Loud’ on November 15th.
