Where is JNEL & J. mainly located?

JNEL & J. is located in Florida.

What does JNEL & J. mean to me?

Well it’s like the lock to my heart, each letter is an initial to someone who holds a key, including myself.

Why did I choose to create this magazine?

This has always been a dream of mine. When I was younger, my sister and I always wanted to start up our own magazine, the name we had was, “Sabor Con Flava”, which was supposed to be a bilingual magazine. We even interviewed a baseball player, so we can have something to put inside, but those plans were put aside.

What made me start up again?

When I graduated High School back in 2000, I moved to NYC from Pennsylvania, to pursue my dream. I had always said that when I graduated I would move and work for Sony Records or a magazine company like CosmoGirl, Glamour, etc., but those dreams never became a reality. While I was living in NY, I attended college. I went to study Visual Communications, which is where it gave me the skills to create and visualize my ideas and motivation to start up again. After about 5 years of being in NY, I found myself in a good & healthy time in my life to begin my journey again. So this is why I decided to start this magazine as an online process first and see what comes out of it.

What are my plans for this magazine?

The magazine will be based on up & coming music artists, designers, visual artists. I eventually want to have it published and have it go worldwide. I would like to actually get the chance to interview my favorite artists Alicia Keys, even though she isn’t new and upcoming, it would be a dream. Her music music has inspired me from day one, and has made me realize that dreams can become a reality.
