Wiz Khalifa has unveiled the cover of his new album ‘Rolling Papers’. The rapper from Pittsburgh, who recently released the mixtape ‘Cabin Fever’ fans to wait until March 29, date of ‘Rolling Paper’, chose a cover of smoke. The face of Wiz Khalifa will appear in a halo of green smoke, the color of the grass as he likes. If the tracklist has not yet been disclosed, his hits “Black and Yellow” and “Roll Up”, the clip was filmed with Cassie in guest will be on the album. Producer side, only Jim Jonsin, Benny Blanco and Stargate are yet confirmed.
Kid Cudi peers out from the shadows on his album art for his upcoming sophomore album titled, ‘Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager’. Proceeded by his Kanye West assisted lead single “Erase Me”, Cudi’s new album is set to be released November 9th.

Kanye West just revealed the cover art for his upcoming album, ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’, due to come out later next month (November 22nd). While presenting the cover, the artist also communicated that the cover was banned in the USA. You can expect an alternative cover, at least for the US market. One can for sure say that the cover suits the title of the album!
This is what West had to say about his album cover via his twitter….
Mr. West claims the powers-that-be won’t allow this to be the cover image of ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’. Back to the drawing board.
On Friday Nicki Minaj unveiled the new album cover for her highly anticipated debut album, ‘Pink Friday’. The album will now be released, Friday, November 22, which is actually one day earlier than it’s original set release date. It will now go head-to-head with Kanye West‘s, ‘Dark Twisted Fantasy World’.
Will you be buying Nicki’s Album or Kanye’s Album? Or both?
Kelis unveils the official artwork for her latest new single “Scream,” which is lifted from her latest album ‘Flesh Tone.’
On the cover, Kelis bares her internal organs for the rather interesting sci-fi looking artwork. The track will serve as the third official single from the project. I’m not a huge fan of Kelis, but the cover looks pretty Dope!
N.E.R.D.’s fourth album ‘Nothing’ is finally scheduled to arrive this November, after undergoing some serious reconstructive work and a sharp change in direction. According to Pharrell Williams, the decision to scrap 27 potential songs for the album earlier this year has inspired a completely new body of work.
“We got rid of those tracks and started with nothing, so I was like, that’s what we need to do — we need to call [the album] ‘Nothing,” Pharrell tells The BoomBox. “At the end of the day, how did the world come about? They said it started with the Big Bang, but what was before the Big Bang? What comes before all great ideas? Before you’re inspired … Nothing!”
Although Pharrell has repeatedly described the album’s current line-up of songs as “lifestyle” music, the N.E.R.D. frontman doesn’t actually hold the new content in such light regard. Observations on current events, technology, and the dizzying pace of daily life, were all driving forces in the effort to create an album dedicated to “escapism,” or an alternative reality.
“We’ve had so many things going on, from the technological advancements of the iPod, and the iPad, which are genius,” Pharrell explains, beginning on a positive note. “But at the same time we also have technological failures like the oil spill and it feels a lot like the late 60s and early 70s. While I was too young to understand what we were going through, I’ve looked back at a lot of footage and newsreels from that era. And now we have issues like our dependency on fossil fuels, which has not proven to be a good thing.”
“There are issues and people want to talk about them, but we don’t want to bring people down,” he continued, emphasizing that ‘Nothing’ is intended to uplift the listener. “We want to bring people up, make people happy, we’re tired of people thinking so much, That’s why in the middle of the ‘Hot n Fun’ song, you hear me say, ‘People don’t wanna think anymore, they just wanna feel, they wanna let go,’ for just for a second man. We need some kind of escapism and that’s what the ‘Nothing’ album is about.”
Some of that escapism will appeal uniquely to the female psyche “in the same way that a Sandra Bullock film would,” Pharrell says, but by no means is it intended to be enjoyed only by the fairer sex. “This album is for black, white, gay, straight, tall, skinny, fat, whatever. As long as you have blood in your body, it’s for you. It’s just for you to listen and escape. While a lot of women hear it and they feel sexy, it’s not a sexual album. I’m not saying anything about a girl’s body necessarily. The focus is to liberate women and make them feel free and be happy about music and what music does to them.”
On the new album cover, Pharrellis wearing a combat helmet with red, white, and blue feathers stuck in the side, he shows his profile, facing away from the camera. The band’s rock-rap effort collaborated with Nelly Furtado for their single, “Hot-N-Fun” and follow-up “Party People.”
‘Nothing’ is currently set for a November 2 release.

She’s been known to bust the windows out the car, but Jazmine Sullivan puts down the crowbar on the cover of her sophomore album “Love Me Back.” The fragile songstress, dressed in all black, leans against an old-school Chevy Impala in the artwork from the November 2nd release, which contains the Missy Elliott-produced single ‘Holding You Down (Goin’ in Circles).’
“I was a little angry on the first album, busting windows and things,” said the 23-year-old Sullivan. “I’m not quite as angry on this one. You see a different side of relationships, the more loving side.”

Less than a week and a half ago, Kanye West unveiled his single “Runaway” which features Pusha T at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards through a charged performance. The single also has an accompanying 40 minute film to boot.
Today West revealed the official cover art to the anthem claimed to be for “assholes, douche-bags and jerk-offs.” The artwork features a ballerina twirling against the composition of a green wall, seen below:
This one is missing the trademark artwork since it wasn’t a G.O.O.D Friday release. “Runaway” is expected to be included on West‘s fifth album, reportedly titled ‘Dark Twisted Fantasy’, due this fall on Def Jam Records.

Mariah Carey has officially unveiled her festive cover artwork for her upcoming LP ‘Merry Christmas II You‘. The artwork was shot by noted celebrity photographer David LaChapelle. The first single to be lifted from the project will be the Bryan Michael-Cox produced ‘Oh Santa’, and the LP itself will drop in stores on November 2nd, courtesy of Island Def Jam Music Group.
The project features a brand new recording of Mariah’s all-time classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, as well as festive covers such as ‘The First Noel’, ‘Little Drummer Boy’, ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’ and ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ just to name the few. Producers Randy Jackson, Jermaine Dupri, James Poyser and Marc Shaiman also worked with the singer on FOUR original new songs for the album.
I don’t know why she’s remaking such a classic and one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’. This song will never me re-made the way it originally sounds. I hope that for her sake it comes out better if not the same. I can’t wait to start hearing the new tunes all over NYC, while I’m Christmas shopping.
