Dear Diary: The-Dream’s Open Letter

RAPPER The-Dream tried to commit suicide following his split from Christina Milian.

The star — who married the AM to PM beauty in September 2009 and has five-month-old daughter Violet with her — has revealed the turmoil he suffered in the months since his relationship with the beautiful pop star ended earlier this year.

“I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming,” he said.

“This is not to justify anything, it’s true emotion. It’s a real thing that involves real people.”

Earlier this month, the producer-and-rapper — real name Terius Nash — admitted his relationship with Christina ended several months ago, but they only announced their separation after he was spotted on the beach with his assistant Melissa Santiago.

Despite the pictures, Terius is adamant nobody else was involved in their split.

“I would love to tell the truth as to why my relationship wasn’t successful, but today that is between me and Christina. It’s easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, it’s not,” he said.

“I take full responsibility for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for a while! I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn’t for anyone to know. I would never intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that!”

The rapper also claimed he didn’t want to announce the marriage was over because he was embarrassed and felt like a failure.

“Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we were failing and have now failed,” he added.

First I want to thank God for the trials of life, without them we can’t know purpose!

I would love to tell the truth as to why my relationship wasn’t successful, but today that is between me and Christina.  Its easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT’S NOT.

I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile!  I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn’t for anyone to know.  I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that!  There was so much going on in me and Christina’s personal world that I tried to deal with it as delicately as I could and tried to regain my footing.  Instead of being direct in order not to cause even more hurt or hurt someone’s feelings, I carried the weight in secret!

I am Human and people fall in and out of Love all the time… This is Life.  Nothing’s promised or perfect, neither am I.  I am not proud that I lost something we once had…LOVE!  I’ve always been a Loving Father, Hard Worker, Generous, Stern and Eager to prove myself.  My faults are I can be irresponsible and an *ss sometimes, but I HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER be a malicious person or wish harm to anyone, especially those I love or the mother of my child.  I’m sorry for the embarrassment to everyone involved!  If there’s anyone to blame and you can’t fathom this happening, please blame me and me alone for not being upfront!  Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!

This is not to justify anything, it’s true emotion! It’s a real thing that involves real people!  I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming.

But I was reminded by my MOTHER that I am not “Superman” and its okay to lose sometimes…

This too shall pass! And everything will be fine!

Just In: The-Dream Caught Cheating

Christina Milian‘s “Dream” seems to be more of a nightmare.

Paparazzi have released photos of the Singer’s husband, The-Dream cheating!

Images surfaced today (Monday, July 12th 2010) of Terius “The-Dream” Nash getting touchy feely with Melissa Santiago while frolicking on a Caribbean beach.

The-Dream appears to be looking right at the cameras in two of the photos!

While others show his hands groping Melissa‘s bottom & her legs wrapped around his waist.

The-Dream’s rep. has stated that the Singer/Producer is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. According to his rep. the couple decided the relationship had failed late 2009, but opted to keep the news private.

This news comes as a shocker and is rather hard to believe considering the fact that the couple had their second wedding ceremony, in Rome, in December of 2009.

The couple’s daughter Violet, was born five months ago, on February 26th of this year. Christina‘s only statements about the incident were posted on her Twitter page.

The singer tweeted,

“I’ve officially lost my appetite.
WHATEVER YOU THINK     BELIEVE IT.”

Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend of two years, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, are going their separate ways, the reality star’s rep confirms to PEOPLE.

“They were the cutest couple,” another source tells PEOPLE. “They loved each other so much but they hardly saw each other. He starts his football training camp this week and she starts filming Keeping up with the Kardashians this week. They just need a break right now.”

Rumor has it that Kanye West broke them up. According to, FOX 411 the rapper was sending racy texts about a night the two of them partied together:

“Reggie saw text messages on Kim‘s phone from Kanye West and flipped out on her,” the source tells FOX411. And these weren’t your average friendly messages. “The texts referenced a night they hung out, how much fun he had, how hot Kim was, and more racy things that got Reggie‘s imagination running,” says the source. When Reggie confronted Kim about it, the couple had a huge blow-up, and jealousy issues, which had been pretty much kept out of their relationship until this incident, surfaced, according to the insider. “They realized there were trust issues on both sides, and couldn’t go forward,” says the source.

Celebrity Breakups: Usher & Tameka Head to Divorce Court

Usher‘s marriage to his former stylist Tameka Foster has hit a stumbling block. The R&B singer has filed a divorce from his wife of 2 years after living separately for one year.

The 30-year-old “Confessions” hitmaker filed the papers in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday. No details were given regarding the split.

They have two sons together: 18-month-old Usher Raymond V and 6-month-old Naviyd Ely Raymond. Foster, 38, also has two children from a previous marriage and another one from a teenage pregnancy.

The split took fans by surprise as Usher had been adamant in defending his marriage to the older woman. It was reported then that his mother quit as his manager after disapproving his son’s marriage to Foster. His mother came back as his manager last year.

In May 2008, he launched an impromptu attack against people against his marriage last year during a live telecast of MTV’s “TRL.”

He said during a segment of the show, “I love my wife very, very much. There was a little rumor earlier this week about us separating. It ain’t true. We in love. Get outta here.”

“Matter of fact, I’m tired of people continuing to talk so much trash about me, know what I’m saying? Any my relationship. My wife is not 40 years old. I love her to death and I’m a black, strong man in America standing up for my people – as a man to my wife, to my son, to my family.”

He interrupted host Damien Fahey again to refute reports that his wife had anything to do with his firing his mother.

Foster suffered a heart attack after undergoing liposuction in Brazil earlier this year, with rumors emerged that Usher did not even know his wife was having the procedure in the country.

The first hearing on their divorce is scheduled on July 15.

Celebrity Couple No More: Dame Dash and Rachel Roy?

Damon Dash’s wife Rachel Roy files for divorce…

As told by the Daily News, “He’s got no money, but he sure does have mo’ problems.”

Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear co-founder Damon Dash has been slapped with divorce papers by wife Rachel Roy, the Daily News has learned.

The stunning fashion designer piled onto Dash‘s already sizable stack of lawsuits when she filed for divorce from her husband of four years this month in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Ed Hayes, a lawyer for Roy, declined comment, and a Dash spokeswoman did not return calls or e-mails.

An electronic record of the case says the divorce is for “nonmonetary relief” and should be resolved by February.

Dash and Roy, who put her own name on a women’s fashion line, got hitched in Mexico in January 2005. They met when Roy was working at Rocawear and have two daughters.

The breakup is the latest legal mess for the has-been hip-hop titan, whose empire – which he once pegged at “about $50 million” in a New York magazine profile – has crumbled under massive debt, bad business deals and one suit after another.

Dash, who in 2005 sold his stake in Rocawear to Jay-Z for $20 million, owes $2 million in state taxes, and a bank has started foreclosure proceedings on his two Tribeca condos.

A Manhattan judge even ordered the city to seize his luxury Chevrolet Tahoe SUV last year when he couldn’t make the $714.99 monthly payment. He’s also being sued by law firms and landlords for not paying his bills.

The fall has been a spectacular one for Dash, who sipped Champagne on a yacht in Jay-Z’s video for “Big Pimpin'” – then emptied his bottle of bubbly onto bikini-clad beauties in a hot tub.

“He’s broke, he’s got nothing left,” a source said.

Dash debuted last year as a theater producer with the “Hip-Hop Monologues,” an Off-Broadway account of the life of his latest protégé, rapper Jim Jones.

The production is set to resume performances tonight at 37 Arts in Manhattan.

While he may have been short on cash, Dash wasn’t short on confidence when he hyped the show in New York magazine and vowed to make a splashy return to the music business.

“And when I come back, I’m gonna change the economy as well,” he said.
