Keri Hilson gives us a history lesson in her new video for “Pretty Girl Rock”, off her upcoming album ‘No Boys Allowed’. Miss Keri Baby kicks off the vid taking a cue from Josephine Baker in 20s regalia, and soon Hilson goes flows throughout the decades, fashioning herself as Diana Ross, Janet Jackson decked out in her utilitarian wear in “Rhythm Nation” and TLC’s T-Boz in the group’s silk pajamas-sporting “Creep” vid.

Music News: Keri Hilson & Ciara Duet?
While the blogosphere and fans have fueled the feud between R&B singers Keri Hilson and Ciara, could a collaboration be in the works that would end the drama once and for all?
Miss Keri appeared on Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 radio show on Monday to once again address the rumored beef between her and her fellow ATlien. When asked whether any of the gossip was true, the Decatur songstress responded;
“Not really, it’s nothing real—not in the real world. I know that they take anything and kind of drag it on. They made up that I was in New York when supposedly we had a fight or scuffle backstage. I wasn’t even in the city, I was in L.A.”
Despite growing up in the same region, Keri doesn’t see why people feel the need to pit them against each other. “I do honestly feel that there’s room for everybody,” she said. “We do two different things, we come from two different places musically.”
When Angie suggested a duet to silence the chatter, Keri replied, “That’s a thought,” hinting that one has been discussed.
“I’ll be honest, I can’t say that we haven’t had some talks about it, little whispers about doing a song together, it just hasn’t happened. I’ve heard things from people…”
She then turned the focus back to her sophomore album ‘No Boys Allowed’ and her new single “Pretty Girl Rock,” which she debuted on the air.

Vin Vivendi, a french international media conglomerate, with activities in music, television, film, and telecommunications, is cleaning house, and Dream as well as LA Reid are out due to disappointing sales figures and exuberant spending. After several years it’s clear that dog won’t hunt.”
Antonio “L.A.” Reid (born June 7, 1956) is a three-time Grammy Award-winning American[c record executive, songwriter, and record producer, best known as the co-founder of LaFace Records. He is responsible for signing and helping bring Mariah Carey, P!nk, Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, Toni Braxton, TLC, Usher, Ciara, OutKast, and Dido to multi-platinum album sales.
He was the Chairman and CEO of Island Def Jam Music Group and President and CEO of Hitco Music Publishing, based in Atlanta.
The-Dream, is an American R&B and pop singer-songwriter and record producer.
The-Dream met R&B producer Laney Stewart in 2001, who helped him sign a publishing deal. He spent two years working on Nivea‘s second album ‘Complicated’, and continued to write and produce with Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Laney‘s brother. Together, The-Dream and Tricky produced Rihanna’s 2007 hit “Umbrella” and Beyoncé‘s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”, which boosted The-Dream‘s music career. He signed a deal with Def Jam Records in 2007, and released his debut studio album ‘Love Hate’ later that year. In March 2009, The-Dream released his second album ‘Love vs. Money‘. In June 2010, The-Dream released his third album titled ‘Love King’.

Music News: Ciara & Keri Hilson Beefing?
Fans of both Ciara and Keri Hilson are all too familiar with the artists’ feud, which seemingly began through songs that featured the singers taking lyrical jabs at one another. But the R&B powerhouses reportedly stepped out from behind the mics recently and experienced a heated exchange. During Power 105.1’s “Power Live” concert in New York this past weekend, Ciara and Keri may have come face-to-face, causing verbal blows to follow.
The Atlanta songstresses were both scheduled to perform at the concert, which featured such acts as J. Cole, Diddy-Dirty Money, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross. According to the New York Daily News’ Gatecrasher gossip column, Hilson backed out of her time slot after she and the “Ride” singer were involved in a minor tiff backstage.
Sources for the newspaper then changed their stories when both artists’ publicists stepped in to do damage control. Reps for Hilson claim the ATL native wasn’t even present at the concert. Unfortunately, it seems one of the camps is withholding information. A set list sent to the publication by the publicity firm handling the “Power Live” event had Keri Hilson scheduled to perform from 8:55 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. and Ciara to go onstage from 10:05 p.m. to 10:35 p.m.
Keri has denied beef with Ciara in a previous radio interview. When asked by Rap-Up TV in May whether her song “Basic Instinct (U Got Me)” was taking shots at her peer, Ciara simply responded, “That record right there is a song that I dedicated to my haters, and I also dedicate it to my fans though.”
UPDATE: Organizers for “Power Live” have released a statement addressing Keri Hilson’s absence from the show.
Keri Hilson had been booked to perform at the Power Live Show On NYC’s Governor’s Island Sunday, August 22nd but was unable to perform due to matters out of her own control. Hilson, a professional who has always been a pleasure to work with, and her management, gave Power Live fair warning that she would be unable to perform. Power Live looks forward to having Keri Hilson on our bill at future events. Any statements or stories made toward issues backstage with any of our performers are false and without merit.

COULD this be the start of a match made in hip-hop heaven? A source tells us rapper 50 Cent and Ciara (above) recently shacked up together for a night in one of the penthouse suites at the AKA Times Square Hotel & Residences on West 44th Street. “And there was only one bed in that penthouse,” our source observed. Representatives for 50 Cent and Ciara had no comment.
The 50 Cent and Ciara rumor traces back at least two years but the stories have been so strategically placed around album promo.

Music News: Ciara Speaks Out About Keri Hilson
Ciara Responds To Keri Hilson…
Keri Hilson recently released a controversial remix to the hit song called “Turnin’ Me On,” where she apparently dissed Ciara and Beyonce. Speaking with Atlanta’s V103 late this week, Ciara said she never had any issues with Keri.
She states as follows…
“All I know is that everything has been cool. I met her when she was a writer. Last conversation we had we were talking about writing together.”
“As a woman my first reaction… especially in our industry because it’s really hard to get in a good, strong, solid place. It’s no need to tear another female down.” “I’m not going to respond and say nothing crazy if I don’t have clarity. There has never been any hatred from my end”.
