“make me want to beat the crap out of him…he uses the language of the perpetrator just like every sleazy bastard who ever smacked his wife, kid mother or girlfriend around uses. you dirty bastard, I hope you go to prison for ten years. Just In: Rihanna’s Family Speaks Out!

Rihanna is back at home; “None of this is as bad as everyone makes it sound.” Yvonne Fenty, a cousin of Rihanna’s, claimed that the “Umbrella” singer is currently on the island of Barbados — recovering from last Sunday’s violent attack by boyfriend-R&B star Chris Brown — with friends and family, and told exclusively that Rihanna is holding up well.”

“Everyone is looking after her–she is just trying to catch herself and get her life back on track. None of this is as bad as everyone makes it sound. Her injuries weren’t near as bad as people make them sound. Yes, she is going through a rough time and is upset, but she is thinking positive and resting. She will be fine.”

Just In: Rihanna & Family is looking for understanding

Pop diva Rihanna’s family is asking media and others for understanding.

According to Rihanna’s uncle, Daddy I-Roy, the singer is alright, but the family is not due to the constant phone calls and other forms of contact from members of the media and other organizations.

“All I can tell you is that we haven’t spoken to her and she is alright, but that is all I can tell anyone,” says I-Roy. “I don’t even know where these people have gotten my numbers from, but they need to stop calling because I can’t give them any information.”

In related news, Rihanna’s hit album “Good Girl Gone Bad” has been named one of the best selling albums of 2008 on a global scale!

According to IFPI, “Good Girl Gone Bad” rounds out the top 10 on its Best Selling Albums of 2008 chart.

Just In: Gayle King Rejects Chris Brown’s Apology

Gayle King said she wasn’t moved by Chris Brown apology, in which he said Sunday he is “saddened … over what transpired” with girlfriend Rihanna .

“I can’t think of anything that makes me support anything that Chris Brown is saying at this time,”King tells Extra. “And my heart just aches for Rihanna.” spoke to other stars over the weekend about Brown, 19, who said in his statement that he is “seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones” after allegedly attacking his girlfriend in Los Angeles Feb. 8.

Here’s what the celebs had to say:

“I don’t think anybody actually knows what happened. I have no advice because, thank goodness, I’ve never been in any kind of abusive situation. You hear a new one every five minutes, and some of them are getting kind of ridiculous. I really hope everyone will lay off and just let everybody who’s involved figure out everything first.”

“This is a real situation. You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that. I just think we should all support her. She’s going through a tough time. You have to realize she’s a young girl, as well. She’s very young.”

“I think the world would be a better place if people worried more about what they needed to do to be better people, than … judging others on what kind of people they are. I don’t know what really went on with Rihanna and Chris, and I dont think anyone else does, either. The only people who really, truly know are only the two of them, so I am not going to assume or comment. I’m going to mind my own business.”

“I don’t know what happened there, but our thoughts and prayers go out to both of them. Its such a crazy situation. I hope everything heals. I don’t know what to say.”

“I don’t really know that much about it. I think that doing that to a woman is wrong in any way. It doesn’t matter who did it to you. But, you know, I don’t know that much about it, so I can’t really comment too much on it.”

“I have no comment on that. That’s not my relationship. I have no reason to speak about it. I think they’re both great people.”

“They are great live and both are good people. It’s a tragedy.”

“It’s so sad. I don’t think anybody knows the whole truth, but I guess the truth really doesn’t matter when [abuse] is the result. That should never happen, no matter what. And I love his music. That being said, I think [about] Rihanna : No girl, no woman, no mother, no sister, no friend, no one deserves that. Absolutely.”

“I know both of them well. They’re young, and all we can do is pray for them at this point.”

“I’m still praying for him. Everybody always has something negative to say about everything, and I always try to be positive. They’ve both made wonderful careers for themselves, and I think they will continue to do so for the rest of their lives.”

“They’re both young and beautiful people, and that’s it.”

“Women, throughout history, have been beaten and prostituted. Even today in movies and music, they’re portrayed as low-grade, so you know, he’s a youngster, and he can correct his ways. It’s just a tragedy – women and abuse.”

Just In: Chris Brown Speaks Out!

Chris Brown says he is seeking counseling from loved ones and family members, one week after an alleged attack against his girlfriend, singer Rihanna.

In the statement issued through his publicist Michael Sitrick, the 19-year-old singer says he is “sorry and saddened” over the incident, for which he was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats.

He also says much of what has been reported about the incident is wrong, although he doesn’t provide further details.

Brown turned himself in on February 8 but no charges have been filed yet. He is free on $50,000 bail while the case is being investigated.

On Friday, Brown‘s father said his son is at home and “very remorseful” over what happened.

Just In: Rihanna’s Dad Speaks Out

Rihanna has returned to the comfort of home to heal.

The R&B star is back in her native Barbados with her family and friends as she recuperates from what police sources have told E! News was a vicious attack at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown.

“There is some bruising. She will be all right. I think so,” her father, Ronald Fenty, told People magazine after seeing his daughter on Friday.

Fenty added that he hopes his 20-year-old daughter would “move on” from dating Brown.

“At some point, she will speak out. I hope she will stand up for women all over the world.”

Fenty said that he “didn’t believe when he heard that his daughter had been roughed up. “You think you know somebody,” he said of Brown, “but you really don’t.”

The 55-year-old salesman and designer said he last saw his daughter and Brown together in July. “They seemed pretty happy,” he recalls. “I don’t know what went wrong.”

Just In: Chris Brown’s Dad Finally Speaks Out!

A rendezvous with mom may have been first on Chris Brown’s itinerary, but a heart-to-heart with dad apparently wasn’t too far off.

“Just know that he’s home,” Brown’s biological dad, Clinton Brown, who says he spoke to his son Thursday, told People. “He needed some time to get his thoughts together and regroup.”

The 44-year-old corrections officer spoke to the magazine from outside his home in Tappahannock, Va., not far from where Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, lives.

E! News learned yesterday that after spending a night at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel and Casino with friends, Brown had left to go see his mother. The 19-year-old was booked Sunday by Los Angeles police on suspicion of making criminal threats and is being investigated for allegedly beating up girlfriend Rihanna.

But Clinton Brown says that his son is “very remorseful.”

“He’s very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna is] okay. This is unfortunate—this stumble, this situation. Hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip.”

Rihanna, 20, was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday after being treated for injuries that Brown has been accused of inflicting. She postponed concerts scheduled for Thursday and tonight in Jakarta, Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Law-enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times earlier this week that the “Umbrella” singer was cooperating with their investigation. Meanwhile, the L.A. District Attorney’s Office has asked police to compile more information before they determine whether to press charges against Brown.

A source close to the investigation told E! News that Rihanna told police Brown threatened to kill her and then choked her until she lost consciousness. His camp never responded to repeated requests for comment on the allegations.

But Clinton Brown predicts that Chris’ true fans will stick by him through what could understandably be thought of as the beginning of the end of his rampant popularity.

“If you are on his side, you are on his side,” he said. “Just because someone trips, if you are truly a fan, you are not going to demonize him instantaneously.”

But he added, “This music industry is very unforgiving when it comes to having indiscretions. He will continue to be a good person. He loves people. And like most of us, most humans, things will occur. And hopefully a person won’t be judged simply on that alone.”

Gum maker Wrigley pulled all Doublemint ads featuring Brown earlier this week, and the avid basketball fan also canceled his scheduled appearances at the NBA All-Star Game festivities this weekend. He was supposed to play in tonight’s Celebrity All-Star Game and then introduce the players with Shaquille O’Neal before Sunday’s main event.

WTF: Rihanna’s bruised picture?

WTF people, check out this photo I came across today. This is supposed to be a picture of what Rihanna’s face looked like after the domestic dispute with Chris Brown, now I don’t know if this is some kind of joke, but in my opinion the girl doesn’t even look like Rihanna.

Pictures of Rihanna are said to be remained in private hands, and no copies were made. Can someone clear this up for me and confirm that this is also a fake, please?

What is your opinion on this photo?

Music News: Is Chris Brown’s Career Over?

Q&A made on E! Online I’m sure everyone is asking themselves the same question, as I know I am.

Check out the Q&A below…

Question: So can Chris Brown be a famous singer after this whole alleged crime? —Marnie, Scottsbluff, Ariz.

Answer: I reached out to dozens of crisis PR experts today—people who have handled everything from food recalls to child sex-abuse scandals. Their only point of disagreement: Whether Chris Brown’s career is finished, over or merely done.

This is no small fall for a guy who, just last year, was named by Forbes magazine as a “celebrity dealmaker to watch.” His biggest sin since the alleged crime? Staying silent.

Of course, what actually happened remains to be sorted out in full view of Lady Justice. But PR people universally agree that Brown should have launched his I’m-an-ass apology tour by now, or at least some sort of self-mutilating statement.

Here’s the long-shot strategy he should be following…

Police investigation notwithstanding, crisis PR pro Dave Cieslak tells me he that somebody in Brown’s position should “admit his unspeakable mistake and genuinely beg forgiveness from Rihanna and his fans, all with tears streaming from his eyes.”

And yet there is a very tiny chance that Brown could crawl and scrape his way back into our collective good graces.

How? Focusing on his fans in the African-American community is a good start, image management consultant Goldie Taylor says. “We have a forgiving heart in the community,” Taylor says. “It’s happened time and time again. We saw it with Al Sharpton and Tawana Brawley, and look at Michael Vick. He isn’t done yet.”

(Indeed, Vick gets out of prison in July, and his lawyers are reportedly seeking to get him reinstated into the NFL.)

That focus may take the form of a sympathetic interview with Cousin Jeff on BET or giving us a very public come-to-Jesus moment by joining an African-American church.

He also needs to curb any news leaks coming out of his camp, as well as put out his own strong message, Taylor says:

“That his love for Rihanna is unfaltering, that he has undying love and respect for black women everywhere, that he has sisters and watched his mother struggle as a single mom, and that he can’t comment on anything directly but that he has great faith in the American justice system.

“But if they keep up with this radio silence,” Taylor says, “he’s a dead brand walking.”

Of course, Brown’s own anti-domestic-violence foundation must follow.

Even after all that, don’t look for a Chris Brown live tour anytime soon.

“If his people are smart,” says Peter Shankman, founder of the PR firm Geek Factory, “they’ll keep him under wraps for at least six months.”
