Notes: A surprise October 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, featuring Janet Jackson both on newsstands and the subscriber’s cover. Miss Jackson breaks the silence for the first time since Michael‘s death in a world exclusive interview for Harper’s Bazzar, which is already available at Bazaar’s website. More Janet Jackson images by Tom Munro including a few excerpts from the interview below.

In her first interview since her brother’s death, Janet talks to Harper’s Bazaar about how she coped in the days following Michael‘s passing. In the article, Janet reveals for the first time that she has indeed split with Jermaine Dupri, confirming rumors that they had broken up this summer.

The title of her new book “True You” is also confirmed and will be released next year. The article also states that her new album will come out next spring and that she will go on tour next year, however it does not explain whether the tour simply means a promotional tour or a concert tour.

ABCNews.com posted a photo of the magazine cover along with an article that contains some short portions of what Janet said in her Harper’s Bazaar interview.

Janet Jackson Opens Up About Losing Michael….Brotherly Love: The Pop Star Talks About Growing Up With the King of Pop…

There had always been a powerful bond between Janet Jackson and her brother, Michael. Perhaps this is why she says she hasn’t watched television or read a newspaper in the two months since her brother’s sudden death.

“I’d, I’d just like to say that to you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family,” the pop star told Harpers Bazaar. “And he will forever live in all of our hearts.”

She also opens up about her relationship with Michael and their last day together, and how she’s coped by immersing herself in a new album and book.

The Michael Jackson Only She Knew…

As a 14-year-old, it was Janet‘s job to take care of her superstar brother. “I would shop for him. I washed his clothes and cleaned his room. When mother would go out of town, she’d say, ‘I’m leaving you in charge. Take care of Michael.'”

She knew early on that her brother loved clothes that stood out. For the 25th Anniversary of Motown special, Michael grabbed his famous sparkly black jacket from his mother’s closet.

“If it was shiny, if it had any kind of bling, he loved it,” Janet said. Except for his shoes. He danced them down to the soles. “He would wear his shoes all the way down,” remembered Janet. “His penny loafers would have huge holes in the bottom.”

She recalls the joy of making the 1995 music video “Scream” with her brother. “We had so much fun back then. We would organize our days together.”

She also fondly remembers the last time she saw Michael — a month before his death.

“The last time we were together, he’d laugh so hard, he’d just start crying.”

In 2002, Janet told Diane Sawyer how important her brothers were to her.

“I was close to my brothers growing up, and I missed them a great deal when they would go out on tour,” she recalls. She admits that she used binge eating as a way to cope with the pain of their absence.

“I can be an emotional eater,” she says. “Of late, I have been doing that, yes. It started when I was very little. My brothers were gone on tour a lot, and I would miss them so much.”

Moving On as a Family…

Jackson says that they are going through the ordeal of her brother’s death as a family. She’s especially proud of Michael‘s children, Blanket, Prince Michael and, especially, Paris. She said that people have told her that the way that Michael‘s daughter spoke at his memorial really gave them a sense of how he was as a father.

She says the kids are doing well. “They’re with their cousins,” she says. “That family love will keep them going.”

All On The Cover: Kate Winslet Covers Harper’s Bazaar

Harper’s Bazaar August 2009 issue is covered by Oscar winner, Kate Winslet, photographed by Peter Lindbergh in New York City.

That’s not her first pics for this magazine. During her fashion life she has booked more than 5 various Harper’s Bazaar covers. This is her 6th cover girl photosession for this magazine.

On the cover pic she wears a white wool crepe dress, $1,795, by Michael Kors, Chopard earrings. In the pics where Kate is on the tower above NY she wears Ralph Lauren Collection silk dress $8,000, Cartier Bracelet (left), $3,850, Chopard Bracelet (right).

In the interview she speaks about her parents, Oscar winning, about her weight and style.

About her body:

“I’ve heard, ‘Oh, she’s toned and she’s lost weight,’ but I am exactly the same as I’ve always been. The one thing that had to go during awards season was exercise. People would say to me, ‘Oh, come on …’ like I was lying about it!”

“Some may find it hard to believe it, but I don’t care about that stuff.”

About her favorite beauty products:

Renergie is really, really fantastic. Resolution eye cream — excellent for puffiness! Pink Parfait Magic Blush, which I just love … and Absolute Rouge is spectacular. Sam and I went out to the theater one night, and I double kissed everyone and it didn’t come off!” Pause. “Actually, I don’t double kiss. Just one will do, thank you.”

About being Lancome face:

I really thought, me?” she says. Lest she seem disingenuous, she insists, “Seriously. Because I think what you feel like as a teenager never really goes away. If you were teased for being fat or thin or having bad teeth, you’re always insecure about that particular area of yourself. So I’ve never thought of myself as any kind of beauty, iconic or otherwise.”

About growing up:

The growing-up-fast part weirdly happened between the ages of 15 and 22. When everyone was out getting plastered, I didn’t do all of that. I was working. I was doing life. Now that I look back, I feel very lucky. I’ve never taken drugs, never been offered cocaine. And I’ve done a heck of a lot
of traveling: India, Australia, Morocco, New Zealand. You have to rely on your resources when you’re away; you have to think quickly [and] grow up quickly.”

Designer Spotlight!: Louis Vuitton Graffiti & Rose Collection

Marc Jacobs and Stephen Sprouse

Louis Vuitton’s new Graffiti & Rose collection, which features a range of accessories, is a homage to Stephen Sprouse, who collaborated with the house’s creative director Marc Jacobs eight years ago.

Bags, shoes, bangles, sunglasses, leggings, scarves and clothing – all contain the neon colored graffiti done by Stephen Sprouse.

To celebrate this month’s Stephen Sprouse book and exhibition, Marc Jacobs even got naked for Harper’s Bazaar and posed for fashion photographer Terry Richardson holding a bag from the Graffiti collection.

All On The Cover: Victoria Beckham’s Interview with Harper’s Bazaar

Victoria’s Secrets
With a new fashion line and a houseful of boys, Victoria Beckham has mastered her balancing act

Here’s an excerpt of her interview…

They say that to really understand somebody, you need to walk a mile in her shoes. But what if you can’t actually stand in her shoes? Such is the case with a pair of thigh-high PVC Antonio Berardi boots Victoria Beckham recently wore to a Macy’s appearance with her husband, David, in New York. It wasn’t that the heels were formidable; the boots had no heels at all. Victoria struck her patented pose for the assembled photographers while gamely perched on the balls of her feet.

“Oh, c’mon, they’re not that hard to walk in,” she admonishes as I masochistically try them on (after a bemused-looking housekeeper fetches them from Victoria’s closet). “They’re not uncomfortable! You have to go to a sex shop to get this spray to polish them.” Did she go buy it personally? “Oh. No …”

It’s a bright, shiny morning in Los Angeles, and Victoria, with a pixieish new haircut, is sitting on her couch in a slinky dress from her eponymous new line. The black sheath looks fetching against the royal-purple couch, the ensemble given a kick by the red soles of her Christian Louboutins. “What might feel like a nine-inch heel to most people is like a flip-flop to her,” sighs close friend Heidi Klum.

It’s easy to forget when you observe such a glamorous package that Victoria is the mother of three rambunctious young boys (Brooklyn, 9; Romeo, 6; and Cruz, 3) and the wife of a sports icon whose schedule prompted the family’s move to L.A. in 2007. (“We’re not going to leave L.A.,” she says emphatically, despite David‘s recent acceptance of a stint with Italy’s AC Milan team.) But you need only to watch Cruz bound into the house and into Victoria’s arms — then straight to the soccer ball.

For a woman largely perceived as the dictionary definition of high maintenance, Victoria looks rather at ease. After all, she has earned the approbation of a tough crowd, the fashion industry. Marc Jacobs is on his way over for lunch, and her week is packed with visits from Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, stylist Katie Grand, and photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The family house, only one year on, looks like a home (albeit a very fancy, orchid-covered, Damien Hirst-bedecked one), with two palm trees out by the pool, between which the boys make their mother play goalkeeper. “That’s what this bruise is,” Victoria says ruefully, pointing to a mark on an otherwise glossy leg. “I’ve fallen down playing bloody soccer.”
