Rihanna covers the December 2010 issue of Interview Magazine and got the honor to be interviewed by her good friend Kanye West. Kanye West wrote the cover story on Rihanna for the upcoming issue of Interview Magazine. Rihanna even talked about having a baby.

Below are a few excerpts from the interview…

Kanye: “So what inspired you to have that pink tank on your last tour? That was amazing, when you were sitting on top of the army tank.”

Rihanna: “I love to combine femininity with a kind of extreme masculine egde, and I felt like the tank is just not a typical thing that you think of when you think of a girl — or in any kind of relation to a girl. Then we made it hot pink. We just added that touch.”

Kanye: “I mean, people really need to see a photograph — the entire tank was pink. That was a great piece of commercial pop art. Was the idea of that to kind of portray an American Dream — like the fantasy of a this hot black girl sitting on a top of a pink tank?”

Rihanna:
“I never actually thought of it like that.”

Kanye:
“How does it feel to know that you could have any man in the world. Or woman. How does it feel to know that you can turn straight women gay?

Rihanna: “Is that a real question?”

Kanye: “Yeah.”

Rihanna: “Well…Thank you. I don’t know how to feel about that. I guess that’s flattering.”

On motherhood: Rihana: “I don’t really plan on the age. It could be a year from now. It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right. I mean, I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I get to kids. Whenever the time is right, I’ll just know.”

Gracing Pages: MADONNA Graces The Pages of Interview Magazine

MAGAZINE: Interview
NEWSTANDS: May 2010
MODELS: Madonna
PHOTOGRAPHER: Marcus Piggott, Mert Alas

NOTES: ‘Like a prayer’, Madonna shot by Mert + Marcus for Interview May 2010. Love her or hate her, the queen of pop nabs the cover of this month’s Interview photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Taking on ensembles from the likes of Versace, L’wren Scott and Givenchy, the musician gets rebellious with the help of lace, leather and a few dangerous accessories styled by Karl Templer.

How has Madonna the singer, dancer, actress, writer, activist, shape-shifting re-inventor eternal controversialist, fashion icon, newly minted film director, and toned single mother of four, managed to become one of the most influential artists of multiple generations? By choosing “dare” every single time.

Here are some highlights from his interview.

GUS VAN SANT: Hey, Madonna.

MADONNA: Gus, is that you?

VAN SANT: Yes. I’m at my house in L.A., just reading the paper.

MADONNA: Are you living in L.A. now?

VAN SANT: I still live in Portland [Oregon], but I have a place in L.A., and I’m starting to work on this film down here.

MADONNA: You’re always working on a film.

VAN SANT: Usually.

MADONNA: But that’s what you do.

VAN SANT: It’s my habit. [laughs] I heard you’re going to Africa.

MADONNA: Yeah. I go to Malawi twice a year. It’s where two of my children were adopted from, and I have a lot of projects there that I go and check up on and children who I look after. It’s sort of a commitment that I’ve made to this country and the hundreds of thousands of children there who have been orphaned by AIDS. I made a documentary about it [I Am Because We Are, 2008], and it’s just become part of my life. I’m going to meet with Jeffrey Sachs [the economist]. I’m sure you’ve heard of him. He’s starting a global education initiative, and I’m going to be his Girl Friday, so to speak. We’re going to hold a press conference to talk about the school for girls that I’m building in Malawi. It’s kind of our way of making sure that every kid has a chance to have an education-more specifically girls, but boys as well. Girls, though, in a lot of developing countries don’t have the opportunity to go to school, nor are they encouraged to go to school, so what we’re doing is the beginning of a dream. But I’m going to Malawi for lots of reasons.

“I think it’s good to get into arguments with people and have them say, “That sucks” or “You’re crazy” or “That’s cheesy” or “What do you think of this?” If anything, it helps you understand what you believe. —Madonna

Seymour Stein is the person who signed me and gave me my first record deal, which was my only record deal… He was in the hospital, and he had me come in to visit him… He made me bring my boom box and play my music for him. He was laying there in bed in his boxer shorts and a wife-beater.—Madonna”

All On The Cover: Beyonce’ Covers Ebony

beyonce_ebony

Beyonce confesses to the magazine that she is a messy person… and that it may annoy Jay-Z because he is very organized.  Read the quote after the jump!

“I’m a little messy. Oh, yeah. Whenever I’m out in public, I have to be put together. When I get home, I rebel against it and I don’t want to take care of anything. I drop it. I’m relaxed. I don’t have any shoes on. No makeup. My purse is in the kitchen. I think that is most difficult thing for him. He’s very, very organized. I’m extremely organized when I’m working, and I work so much that when I get home I don’t want to think about anything.”

Bedroom Blog: Dawn & Que Talk Sex

Well fellow readers, in the past few months the media has really talked a lot of shit about, Aubrey O’ Day {former member of Danity Kane}. They’ve talked about her saying too much in her feature of Complex Magazine and of her being on the cover of Playboy. Let me just tell you, that is nothing compared to what I just watched on WSHH. I just got finished watching Dawn & Que talk about their sex life on an interview for Shade 45’s Lip Service and I must say that it was definitely TMI {Too Much Information} for their fans to hear.

I think as artists who have young teenage girls and guys as a majority of their fan base, it was very inappropriate. There is just certain things that should be kept behind closed doors amongst themselves. This interview was definitely one that should have been kept more private. This is not a good look for Que and definitely not for Dawn, being that they make themselves look so vulnerable talking about how bad they want to get back to work on their MTV show, “Making The Band 4”.

She really doesn’t sound so innocent in this interview as she looks and Que definitely doesn’t stay behind. I’m sure Diddy will not be happy to hear about his artists’ sex life, especially when they are all talking about struggling with having no money or not having any new group members for Danity Kane.

In my opinion this interview was straight nasty.

Check out the video here.
