Dear Diary: The-Dream’s Open Letter

RAPPER The-Dream tried to commit suicide following his split from Christina Milian.

The star — who married the AM to PM beauty in September 2009 and has five-month-old daughter Violet with her — has revealed the turmoil he suffered in the months since his relationship with the beautiful pop star ended earlier this year.

“I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming,” he said.

“This is not to justify anything, it’s true emotion. It’s a real thing that involves real people.”

Earlier this month, the producer-and-rapper — real name Terius Nash — admitted his relationship with Christina ended several months ago, but they only announced their separation after he was spotted on the beach with his assistant Melissa Santiago.

Despite the pictures, Terius is adamant nobody else was involved in their split.

“I would love to tell the truth as to why my relationship wasn’t successful, but today that is between me and Christina. It’s easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, it’s not,” he said.

“I take full responsibility for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for a while! I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn’t for anyone to know. I would never intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that!”

The rapper also claimed he didn’t want to announce the marriage was over because he was embarrassed and felt like a failure.

“Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we were failing and have now failed,” he added.

First I want to thank God for the trials of life, without them we can’t know purpose!

I would love to tell the truth as to why my relationship wasn’t successful, but today that is between me and Christina.  Its easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT’S NOT.

I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile!  I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn’t for anyone to know.  I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that!  There was so much going on in me and Christina’s personal world that I tried to deal with it as delicately as I could and tried to regain my footing.  Instead of being direct in order not to cause even more hurt or hurt someone’s feelings, I carried the weight in secret!

I am Human and people fall in and out of Love all the time… This is Life.  Nothing’s promised or perfect, neither am I.  I am not proud that I lost something we once had…LOVE!  I’ve always been a Loving Father, Hard Worker, Generous, Stern and Eager to prove myself.  My faults are I can be irresponsible and an *ss sometimes, but I HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER be a malicious person or wish harm to anyone, especially those I love or the mother of my child.  I’m sorry for the embarrassment to everyone involved!  If there’s anyone to blame and you can’t fathom this happening, please blame me and me alone for not being upfront!  Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!

But I was reminded by my MOTHER that I am not “Superman” and its okay to lose sometimes…

Just In: The-Dream Says He Tried to Kill Himself Over Failed Marriage with Christina

The-Dream has posted an open letter on his website.

In the letter Dream apologizes to fans for “misleading everyone” into believing his marriage was fine when he really was, “simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we were failing.” He also claims in this letter that he tried to commit suicide when he realized his marriage with singer Christina Milian was failing.

He wrote:

“I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming.”

The letter dramatically ends with,

“This too shall pass! And everything will be fine!”

Meanwhile, Mediatakeout.com has reported on their site that a close friend of Christina leaked information to them about the couples dysfunctional marriage saying,

“she has NEVER removed her ring because she and Dream NEVER broke up….. His announcement was the first time he ever expressed not wanting to spend the rest of his life with her”

Christina Milian and The-Dream’s split became public earlier this week in an announcement from The-Dream’s rep.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Nicki Minaj — together have sparked the rumors of dating! Diddy was spotted outside of Guys and Dolls Nightclub in West Hollywood on Monday night holding hands with an unidentified female.  As recently reported, Diddy has apparently become the new business manager of recording artist Nicki Minaj. Well, it seems that these photos of Diddy spotted with Nicki Minaj has some people thinking they’re dating, since his arm was spotted around her… hmmm.

If you look closely he’s holding her hand too! Lol…Diddy doesn’t even hold his own girlfriend Cassie’s hand in public.  Strange & Suspicious?!

Well, this rumor seems to be just that — a rumor. But, who knows?!! Only time will tell.

What do I do about my Ex Boyfriend?

We dated for almost 3 yrs and now that we have broke up, he wants nothing to do with me. He won’t speak to me and he tries to avoid me when he sees me. What does it mean?

 

You should back off.  He’s not ready to, or doesn’t want to deal with you being a part of his life again. He does not have to be your friend and obviously doesn’t want to be. You should just leave him alone.

My fiance’s mom hates me, what can I do?

 I have been with my fiancé for two years and we are planning to get married next year. He has a 4-year-old child from a previous girlfriend who is very jealous of our relationship and us. His mother is close to his ex and as a result, she doesn’t like me. I think his ex may be spreading rumors about me. Is there anything I can do to fix, or create a relationship with my fiancé’s mom?

 

 You have to remember that you’re marrying the son, not the mom. Your focus should be on your relationship with him. If you treat him right and he’s happy, eventually mom will see that and she’ll soften up. Don’t push too hard trying to get this woman to like you. Be polite when speaking to her and just be yourself.

How do I tell my girlfriend that she should stop speaking to & dealing with her mother?

My girlfriend’s mom constantly mistreats her and takes advantage of her. Her mom is dating a much younger guy and always chooses him over her own daughter. How do I convince my girlfriend that it’s time to cut her mom out of her life altogether? She has stopped speaking to her several times before, but it only lasts for a couple of months.

You should not try to do that. Keep in mind that this is her mom. She only has one mom. Think about the future. What if she stops speaking to her mom for good. Then later down the road something traggic happens to her mother. How would she feel? How would you feel knowing that you had told her to cut her mom out of her life?

The only thing you can do is make sure your girlfriend is aware of what’s happening. Discuss ways that she can help repair the relationship with her mother. If their is a fued between your girlfriend and her mother’s boyfriend, then she can try not going to mom’s house when he is around.

Should I Give Back This Gift?

My male friend gave me an expensive tennis bracelet for Christmas. I already explained to him that I am not interested in a relationship with him, but he insisted that I take the bracelet anyway, because he bought it for me & no one else. Now, I feel really guilty about keeping it. Should I give it back?

You should not have taken the gift to begin with, but now that you have, giving it back isn’t going to help. Don’t be surprised if your friend tries to discuss a relationship again. Be firm and let him know that you don’t want to be with hm that way. Don’t take anymore expensive gifts from him and try to avoid giving mixed signs.
